Department: Transmission Core & Network Operations 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor 24×7 IP and SDH transmission networks supporting ISP, IIG, ITC, IPLC, IGW, ICX, and IPTSP services.

• Monitor network health using NMS/EMS platforms and respond to alarms affecting backbone and enterprise connectivity.

• Troubleshoot Layer-1, Layer-2, and Layer-3 network incidents, including latency, packet loss, routing issues, and link failures.

• Perform fault isolation by analyzing alarms, interface status, traffic utilization, and network performance.

• Coordinate with NTTN providers (Fiber@Home, Summit Communications, Bahon Limited), upstream operators (TATA Communications, Bharti Airtel, Bangladesh Submarine Cable PLC), and DIA providers (Verizon Business, PCCW Global, Bergen Networks) to troubleshoot network incidents, restore services, and ensure seamless enterprise connectivity. 

• Support enterprise DIA, MPLS, and Layer-2 connectivity services by performing initial diagnostics and troubleshooting.

• Monitor international and domestic backbone connectivity and verify service restoration after maintenance or outages.

• Handle customer incidents through ticketing systems while maintaining SLA compliance and timely communication.

• Prepare incident reports, RFOs (Reason for Outage), outage notifications, maintenance updates, and customer communications.

• Provision and maintain enterprise Internet and Layer-2 services through coordination with Core Operations and Corporate Support teams.

• Maintain operational documentation, bandwidth utilization reports, customer records, and network change logs.

• Collaborate with Core, Transmission, Corporate Support, and Infrastructure teams to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
